All Clear - Thank you God!

Four years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 2007 was "the year of cancer".

This morning at 8:00 a.m. was my fourth annual follow-up mammogram, and ALL IS WELL!!!

"See you next year" she said! I can breathe again.

Congratulations to you.

Even after 36 years I still hold my breath, waiting for negative results.

Thanks, everyone. Yeh, Suzanne. I'm lucky on the waiting bit - the first five years out they get someone to read the "gram" right away, while you wait. It still isn't easy and I imagine I'll be holding my breath every year I'm alive.

It's amazing how many women came up to me the day I announced the diagnosis in church, with the bishop sitting there and all. It's nothing anyone talks about, and yet there's this whole community of those of us who have gone through this thing. Then there the fellow clergywomen, and diocesan staff and all. They got me through because they had gone before me.

Anyway, thanks again, everyone.
