Is it a Chinese character deliberately painted on the street, or some of that asphalt they paint on cracks before they repave the whole street, or noticing how the shadow of the person and that S-curved shadow crossing it echoe the mark on the street? Very evocative and meditation-worthy in any event.
I don't know if it is a real Chinese character. It is asphalt poured on the street. I found and photographed a whole series of these asphalt pours and made an alphabet of them.
